In the summer of 2026, I graduated from the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Simiultainiously, I (almost) obtained my masters degree in cognitive neuroscience at the Radboud University, in my hometown of Nijmegen. My artistic practise is therefore often informed by my theoretical understanding of our perception.
In my practice, I try to closely observe the mechanisms through which perception generates reality. An internal landscape I move through slowly and attentively, like a naturalist in search of birds.
My works are companions within this internal geography. They witness and anchor what might otherwise disappear. Miniscule, fleeting visions that rarely survive outside the self. I make figures, videos, and other manifestations that hold onto those perceptions, to keep them from deflating and collapsing the moment you look away.In the coming period, I'll be actively searching for collaborations, opportunities and projects that work at the intersection of science and art, as well as developing my autonomous artisitic practise.
